Aarons 499 Results

Here are the results for the top 5 in the Sprint Cup Series event, The Aarons 499:

1. Brad Keselowski
2. Dale Earnhardt Jr.
3. Ryan Newman
4. Marcos Ambrose
5. Scott Speed

Holy Cow! Like I said before, "It's 'Dega, anything can happen.", well, looks like I was right. Well, here's what happened, last lap, coming off turn 4 the top 4 is Carl Edwards, Brad Keselowski, Ryan Newman, Dale Earnhardt Jr. . Keselowski runs into Edwards, then Edwards flies into Newman and then Edwards flies into the fence. Then Edwards car bounces off the wall flipping over and then lands in the infield. Then Edwards climbs out of his car and runs toward the finish line to finish the race. How crazy? Oh, and also, Kyle Busch wiped out Keselowski on the cool down lap. The question is, was it on purpose?

Sprint Cup Standings After Race Six

Here are the Sprint Cup standings after race six:

1.Jeff Gordon Points Leader
2.Clint Bowyer -89
3.Kurt Busch -132
4.Jimmie Johnson -142
5.Denny Hamlin -148

Doesn't look like the points are going to be exciting soon. Busch, Johnson and Hamlin are tied up with a couple drivers close by but again, Jeff Gordon is leading.

Samsung 500 Prediction

Here is my prediction for the top 5 in the Sprint Cup Series event, The Samsung 500:

1.Jimmie Johnson
2.Carl Edwards
3.Jeff Gordon
4.Kurt Busch
5.Kyle Busch

Why Jimmie Johnson? Well, first of all, he has won the last few championships and won last week. Second of all, he's good at Texas. I wouldn't be surprised if you see Johnson up there in the ranks on Sunday. Remember, after Texas, NASCAR has a week off for Easter.

Kroger 250 Results

Here are the results for the top 5 in the Camping World Truck Series event, The Kroger 250:

1.Kevin Harvick
2.Ron Hornaday
3.Mike Skinner
4.Johnny Benson
5.Rick Crawford

Guess what? First of all, congratulations to Kevin Harvick, but this is what I need to say. After the race, Kyle Busch got so mad that he didn't win, he just parked his car on the track and then just left the race track. How ridiculous is that. He was mad even though he finished on the lead lap finishing 17th. Sad.

Goody's Fast Pain Relief 500 Results

Here are the results for the top 5 in the Sprint Cup Series event, The Goody's Fast Pain Relief 500:

1.Jimmie Johnson
2.Denny Hamlin
3.Tony Stewart
4.Jeff Gordon
5.Clint Bowyer

What did you think of the race? I thought it was better the Bristol. Sadly, my prediction for first place, Jeff Gordon, finished 4th. Oh well, Jimmie Johnson won and I predicted he would finish second. I thought the wreck when Reutimann crashed was a big one. Also, Waltrip avoided lots of wrecks and finished 13th. Good race for MWR.

Sunday, March 29, 2009

Goody's Fast Pain Relief 500 Lineup

Here is the lineup for the top 5 in The Goody' Fast Pain Relief 500:

1.Jeff Gordon
2.Kurt Busch
3.Clint Bowyer
4.Kyle Busch
5.Carl Edwards

Realize anything. Since qualifying was rained out, NASCAR went by owner points for the starting lineup. Also, looks like my prediction Jeff Gordon has a pretty good advantage by starting up front on the pole.

Friday, March 27, 2009

Goody's Fast Pain Relief 500 Prediction

Here is my prediction for the top 5 in the Goody's Fast Pain Relief 500:

1.Jeff Gordon
2.Jimmie Johnson
3.Carl Edwards
4.Denny Hamlin
5.Kyle Busch

Why Jeff Gordon? I pick Jeff Gordon because he is good at Martinsville and because Hendrick Motersports does good at Martinsville and he's a Hendrick Motersports driver. Lets hope my prediction roll can stay alive.

Sprint Cup Standings After Race Five

Here are the Sprint Cup standings after race five:

1.Jeff Gordon Points Leader
2.Kurt Busch -76
3.Clint Bowyer -79
4.Kyle Busch -85
5.Carl Edwards -129

Remember that if your favorite driver was in the top 35 in owner points last year and is still in it, he will now be able to fall out and now have to qualify on time. Also, looks like a close second place race between Bowyer and the Busch borthers.

Thursday, March 26, 2009

Food City 500 Results

Here are the results for the top 5 in the Sprint Cup race, The Food City 500:

1.Kyle Busch
2.Denny Hamlin
3.Jimmie Johnson
4.Jeff Gordon
5.Kasey Kahne

Guess what? I won the prediction again. The Busch Brothers didn't let me down. I thought the race was sort of boring. Bristol is supposed to have bad wrecks which makes the race sometimes fun and there wasn't to bad of wrecks. Oh well, I won the prediction.

Scotts Turf Builder 300 Results

Here are the results for the top 5 in the Nationwide race, The Scotts Turf Builder 300:

1.Kevin Harvick
2.Carl Edwards
3.Clint Bowyer
4.Matt Kenseth
5.Justin Allgaier

First of all, Allgaier is a rookie so good for him. Second of all, this is Kevin Harvick's first win with his own race team, so this is big. Also, no race in the Nationwide series has been won by a non-cup driver.

Friday, March 20, 2009

Food City 500 Lineup

Here is the lineup for the top 5 in the Sprint Cup race, The Food City 500:

1.Mark Martin
2.Ryan Newman
3.Jimmie Johnson
4.Greg Biffle
5.Kasey Kahne

Well, looks like Mark Martin captured his second pole in a row. Before last week, Martin hadn't won a pole in over 200 races. Weird.

Friday, March 13, 2009

Food City 500 Prediction

Here is my prediction for the top 5 in the Food City 500:

1.Kyle Busch
2.Carl Edwards
3.Kurt Busch
4.Greg Biffle
5.Jimmie Johnson

Why Kyle Busch? All I need to say is who won the first COT race at Bristol. You guessed it, Kyle Busch. Anyway, he's already won a race this year and he's done really good this year and last year. Also, I'm doing the contest again where you comment before the race and I will post your screen name if you win in a post.

Monday, March 9, 2009

Sprint Cup Standings After Race Four

Here are the Sprint Cup standings after race four:

1.Jeff Gordon Points Leader
2.Clint Bowyer -43
3.Kurt Busch -46
4.Carl Edwards -87
5.Matt Kenseth -88

Anyone realize something. Kyle Busch hasn't been in the top 5 in standings all year even though he has won a race. It really shows how important even one point is in standings.

Kobalt Tools 500 Results

Here are the results for the top 5 in the Sprint Cup race that was yesterday, The Kobalt Tools 500:

1.Kurt Busch
2.Jeff Gordon
3.Carl Edwards
4.Kevin Harvick
5.Brian Vickers

Guess what, I won the prediction. I predicted Kurt Busch would win and he did. Also, if you watched the race, What did you think of the third cation? I thought it made the race a little boring. After that there were only about 6 or 7 cars on the lead lap. Towards the end it got good. If I had to rate the race on a scale of 1 to 10 and 10 would be amazing and 1 would be horrible, I'd give it a 7. Let me know what you thought of the race by posting a comment.

American Commercial Lines 200

Here are the results for the top 5 in the Camping World race that was on Saturday, The American Commercial Lines 200:

1.Kyle Busch
2.Kevin Harvick
3.Todd Bodine
4.Mike Skinner
5.Terry Cook

Surprised. Kyle Busch got his second win in the Camping World Series for this year. He's just to good. Also, Todd Bodine finally got a sponsor. Todd Bodine finished 1st in the first race, 2nd in the 2nd race and 3rd in the 3rd race. Weird.

Saturday, March 7, 2009

Kobalt Tools 500 Lineup

Here is the lineup for the top 5 in the Sprint Cup race, The Kobalt Tools 500:

1.Mark Martin
2.Kurt Busch
3.Jamie McMurray
4.Juan Montoya
5.Greg Biffle

This is the first time in who knows how many races that Mark Martin got the pole. Also, my prediction to win the race, Kurt Busch, is starting second.

Sunday, March 1, 2009

Kobalt Tools 500 Prediction

Here is my prediction for the top 5 in Cup Series race next week which is in Atlanta:

1.Kurt Busch
2.Jeff Gordon
3.Kyle Busch
4.Tony Stewart
5.Carl Edwards

Why Kurt Busch? Here's why, normally when you think of Kurt Busch and Atlanta, you think of engine failure, but Kurt Busch is due to win a race there so that's why I'm predicting him to win.

Sprint Cup Standings After Race Three

Here are the Sprint Cup standings for the top five after race three:

1.Jeff Gordon Points Leader
2.Clint Bowyer -18
3.Matt Kenseth -40
4.Greg Biffle -40
5.David Reutimann -51

I told you that MWR is still on a roll. Reutimann is in 5th in points and Waltrip is still hanging on in 12th. Jeff Gordon is doing pretty good too. Also, the guy that I predicted that would win the championship is Greg Biffle and he is 4th in points. I'm doing good in predicting.

Shelby 427 Results

Here are the results for the top 5 in the Shelby 427:

1.Kyle Busch
2.Clint Bowyer
3.Jeff Burton
4.David Reutimann
5.Bobby Labonte

Kyle Busch for the first time in his career won at Las Vegas. There was also a record of 14 cations. Also, Matt Kenseth won the first 2 races of the season and guess what, he finished last. I wonder if it's going to be as good of a race next week in Atlanta.

Shelby 427 Lineup

Here is the lineup for the top 5 in the Shelby 427:

1.Kyle Busch
2.Kurt Busch
3.Jimmie Johnson
4.David Reutimann
5.Marcos Ambrose

This is the first race that both of the Busch brothers are starting on the front row. There is just one problem, Kyle Busch made an engine change so he has to start in the back of the pack. Also, this is the Busch brothers hometown so don't be surprised if they do good.

Sam's Town 300 Results

Here are the results for the top 5 in the Sam's Town 300:

1.Greg Biffle
2.Carl Edwards
3.Brian Vickers
4.Jason Leffler
5.Dale Earnhardt Jr.

All I got to say is that it was a good race. When there was about 20 laps to go, every one picked up the pace and it was a good finish. Lets hope that the Cup race today has a good finish too.

Friday, February 27, 2009

Shelby 427 Practice One Speeds

Here is the top 5 for the fastest speeds in the first practice for the Shelby 427:

1.Mark Martin
2.David Reutimann
3.David Stremme
4.Jimmie Johnson
5.Kevin Harvick

What could this mean. What I mean is look at the top 3. I know it's only practice, but some of you thought I was crazy thinking MWR is going to do good this year. David Reutimann is 2nd in speed and Mark Martin is not in MWR but is first in speed. Could this be the year of the underdogs?

Tuesday, February 24, 2009

Shelby 427 Prediction

Here is my Prediction for the top 5 in the Shelby 427

1.Tony Stewart
2.Matt Kenseth
3.Denny Hamlin
4.Kyle Busch
5.Jimmie Johnson

That is my prediction for the top 5. Anyone realize there's 27 extra miles this year. It will be about a 285 lap race. Also, there's a new sponsor, Shelby (what's Shelby) but that normally happens. Yea, more racing.

Dominate Season?

Michael Waltrip Racing has 2 drivers that if the chase were to start next week, would be in the chase. The chase is 24 races away but, if they can keep it up, Michael Waltrip and David Reutimann might just be contenders for the chase. Michael Waltrip with 2 impressive finishes is 7th in points. David Reutimann is 12th in points. The question is, Will they have a dominate season? Nascar is only two races into the season and I know most of you are probably saying that they don't have a chance, but we'll just have to see.

Monday, February 23, 2009

Sprint Cup Standings After Race Two

Here are the standings for the top 5 in the Sprint Cup after race two:

1.Matt Kenseth Points Leader
2.Jeff Gordon -81
3.Kurt Busch -91
4.Tony Stewart -91
5.Greg Biffle -117

I think after that big wreck last week that all the good guys got in basically caused a bit of confusion in the points. All the good guys are not even in the chase, but it's a long season.

Auto Club 500 Results

Here are the results for the top 5 in the Auto Club 500:

1.Matt Kenseth
2.Jeff Gordon
3.Kyle Busch
4.Greg Biffle
5.Kurt Busch

In my prediction for the top five, three of the guys that I predicted that would finish in the top 5 did finish in the top 5. Also, Matt Kenseth is the fourth driver in the history of Nascar that won the first 2 races of the season. The race had a fun finish to it but there really was only one real cation. Although there were 5 cations, four of them were for rain. That was a fun race though.

Sunday, February 22, 2009

Stater Brothers 300 Results

Here are the results for the top 5 in the Nationwide race that was yesterday,The Starter Brothers 300:

1.Kyle Busch
2.Kevin Harvick
3.Joey Logano
4.Carl Edwards
5.David Ragan

I have a couple things to say. First of all, the best finish for a non-Sprint Cup guy was 9th and it was Brendan Gaughan. Second of all, will Kyle Busch do a full weekend sweep? He already won the Camping World and the Nationwide races. All he has to do today is win the Sprint Cup race and he will do the full weekend sweep.

Saturday, February 21, 2009

San Bernardino Country 200 Results

Here are the results for the top 5 in the San Bernardino Country 200:

1.Kyle Busch
2.Todd Bodine
3.Chad McCumbee
4.David Starr
5.T.J. Bell

First of all, I didn't say this but it was a Camping World Series race. Second of all, if Todd Bodine doesn't get a sponsor after this race, it would just be crazy.

Sprint Cup Standings After Race One

Here are the standings for the top 5 after race one:

1.Matt Kenseth Points Leader
2.Kevin Harvick -20
3.A.J. Allmendinger -25
4.Clint Bowyer -30
5.Elliot Sadler -30

I know it might seem like it would be the same standings as how they finished at Daytona but, since there are bonus points and all that stuff, it's a little bit different. Also Clint Bowyer and Elliot Sadler are tied but Clint Bowyer gets 4th because he finished better than Sadler and his race team finished better in owner points last year. Owner points have the same standings too.

Friday, February 20, 2009

Auto Club 500 Lineup

Here is the lineup for the top 5 in the Auto Club 500:

1.Brian Vickers
2.Jimmie Johnson
3.Jamie McMurray
4.Kurt Busch
5.Greg Biffle

This time since it's not Daytona, I can tell you that your qualifying position might matter. Let's hope that the race is like last year's. The thing that was bad about last year was that it ended on Monday. Just hope it doesn't do that again.

Tuesday, February 17, 2009

Auto Club 500 Prediction

Here is my prediction for the top 5 in the Auto Club 500:

1.Carl Edwards
2.Greg Biffle
3.Jeff Gordon
4.Kevin Harvick
5.Kyle Busch

This is my prediction. Also, you can predict whose going to win and post it in a comment. You can only do one prediction just for the winner. If you win I might put your name in one of my blogs.

Sunday, February 15, 2009

Daytona 500 Results

Here are the results for the top 10 for the Daytona 500:

1.Matt Kenseth
2.Kevin Harvick
3.A.J. Allmendinger
4.Clint Bowyer
5.Elliot Sadler
6.David Ragan
7.Micheal Waltrip
8.Tony Stewart
9.Reed Sorenson
10.Kurt Busch

Now if you paid attention to the top 3 performing Toyotas, you might be surprised. Since there was a big wreck and a lot of Toyotas got caught up in it, the top three Toyotas are all the MWR drivers, finishing in 7th, 12th and 17th. Also it was more like the Daytona 380 since they called the race on lap 152. It was more like the race of surprises too.

Camping World 300 Results

Here are the results for the top 5 for the Nationwide race at Daytona:

1.Tony Stewart
2.Carl Edwards
3.Clint Bowyer
4.Kyle Busch
5.Greg Biffle

The only driver that finished in the top 10 that is an all Nationwide driver is Jason Keller who finished 8th. Other than that it was a typical race for the Nationwide series.

NextEra Energy Resorces 250 Results

Here are the results for the Camping World race for the top 5:

1.Todd Bodine
2.Kyle Busch
3.Terry Cook
4.J.R. Fitzpatrick
5.Ron Hornaday

This is the first time for 62 race that an unsponsored truck won a race. Also I realized when watching a raceclip on nascar.com, that on Todd Bodine's truck, instead of having his real name he had "Onion". I think it's a nickname or something. I might not be able to blog tonight. I'm going to the Wild game. We'll see if I'll be able to blog.

Friday, February 13, 2009

Daytona 500 Lineup

Here is the lineup for the top 5 in the Daytona 500:

1.Martin Truex Jr.
2.Mark Martin
3.Jeff Gordon
4.Kyle Busch
5.Tony Stewart

I realized that the first driver that isn't a Toyota or Chevrolet is Bobby Labonte, which is a ford driver, starting in 12th and the best dodge starting position is 13th and the driver is Kurt Busch.

Gatorade Duel Race 2 Results

The second Gatorade Duel race has finished and here is the finish for the top 5:

1.Kyle Busch
2.Mark Martin
3.Brian Vickers
4.Juan Montoya
5.Denny Hamlin

There aren't many surprise finishes on this one. It was sort of boring compared to the first Gatorade Duel. I'll get the qualifying post up soon.

Thursday, February 12, 2009

Gatorade Duel Race 1 Results

Here is the finish for the top 5 in the first Gatorade Duel Race:

1.Jeff Gordon
2.Tony Stewart
3.Jimmie Johnson
4.Joey Logano
5.Aric Almirola

The race won't really decide on how good you'll do in the Daytona 500, I can tell you that you can go from last to first in one lap. Joey Logano surprised me by finishing in the top 5. I will post the results for the second duel as soon as I can.

Sunday, February 8, 2009

Twin Gatorade Duel Races Lineup

Here are the lineups for the Twin Gatorade Duel Races. This is the Lineup for the top 5 for race one:

1.Martin Truex Jr.
2.Bill Elliott
3.Jimmie Johnson
4.Aric Almirola
5.Jeff Gordon

Here is the lineup for the top 5 in race two:

1.Mark Martin
2.Ryan Newman
3.Juan Montoya
4.Travis Kvapil
5.Bobby Labonte

Those are the lineups for the top 5 in the Twin Gatorade Duel Races. They will be on Thursday.

Daytona 500 Qualifying

The Daytona 500 qualifying was today and Martin Truex Jr. got the pole and Mark Martin got second. These are the only two drivers that know their starting positions for the Daytona 500. The drivers that didn't make the front row will know their starting position after the Twin Gatorade Duels. 21 drivers are go or go home drivers so 13 of them will go home. 4 of the go or go home drivers know they're in. They are Bill Elliott, Travis Kvapil,Tony Stewart and Terry Labonte.

Budweiser Shootout Results

The Budweiser shootout just finished minutes ago and here is the top 5:

1.Kevin Harvick
2.Jamie McMurray
3.Tony Stewart
4.Jeff Gordon
5.A.J. Allmendinger

All I need to say is what a great finish. Kevin Harvick passes McMurray and a few seconds later a crash happens so the race is over. Allmendinger and Stewart surprised me by finishing in the top five. Also, there is a record of 7 cautions for the Budweiser Shootout and I finally get to stop typing names of beers (It's really getting on my nerves). Also, qualifying for the Daytona 500 is tomorrow. That was some race tonight

Friday, February 6, 2009

Budweiser Shootout Lineup

Here is the lineup for the Budweiser shootout.

1.Paul Menard
2.Elliot Sadler
3.Reed Sorenson
4.Scott Speed
5.Denny Hamlin
6.Tony Stewart
7.Brian Vickers

Budweiser Shootout This Saturday

The Budweiser Shootout is this Saturday. As most of you know I've talked about it in tons of blogs. Also on Thursday, Nascar is holding this thing where you pick this random item and inside it is where you will start on Saturday night. I haven't said this but, this isn't a point race since there is only 28 cars instead of 43. I will update on Thursday or Friday the positions that each driver is starting in. Also next week is speed week.

Randy Moss Motersports Update

As some of you know, Randy Moss NFL wide receiver for three teams (Vikings,Raiders and Patriots) is starting his own Truck Series team in 2009. He decided since Toyota has such a good reputation in the Truck Series, his team should move to Toyota. He hasn't chose a driver to race for his car though. Randy Moss Motersports will compete full time in 2009.

Chase Prediction

Here is my prediction for who will be in the chase when it starts and where they will be in the standings when it starts.

1.Carl Edwards
2.Jimmie Johnson
3.Clint Bowyer
4.Kyle Busch
5.Greg Biffle
6.Jeff Gordon
7.Mark Martin
8.Dale Earnhardt
9.Matt Kenseth
10.Kurt Busch
11.Kasey Kahne
12.Denny Hamlin

These are my 2009 chase prediction. I might change it though.

Racing Season Only Two Weeks Away

The racing season is only two weeks away and it starts with the Budweiser Shootout. After that there are three races the next week for each series. Also, not next Thursday but the Thursday after that is the Budweiser Shootout selection show.

Top Twelve Predictions

Here is my prediction for the top twelve in points when race 26 ends and the chase starts:

1.Jeff Gordon
2.Jimmie Johnson
3.Kyle Busch
4.Greg Biffle
5.Jeff Burton
6.Mark Martin
7.Clint Bowyer
8.Matt Kenseth
9.Kurt Busch
10.Jeff Burton
11.Tony Stewart
12.Kevin Harvick

What happens is that if you get into the top 12 in points after race 26, you automatically get 5000 points and for every win you have, you get ten more points so, the points for the top 12 will be close when the chase starts.

New Field, More drivers

As in one of my first blogs, I talked about the Budweiser shootout this year having a new rule to make the field, now they have another rule. It doesn't affect the drivers that are already in the race though. The new rule is that each manufacture gets to have a wild card spot. In other words it means each manufacture gets to pick a car that isn't in the field that they want to be in the field. Also they changed the race from 70 laps to 75 laps. It will be a two segment race. The first segment is 25 laps and the second 50 laps. That is what they changed in the Budweiser shootout. Please be the last change.

How Jimmie Johnson Will do in 2009

Jimmie Johnson will not win the national championship. He will finish third in the chase. I'm also predicting that he will get 5 wins. He will not win at any tracks that have ristictor plates. Since all these mergers and stuff is happening, Jimmie might lose some of his drafting buddies at Daytona and Talladega. I'm also predictiong he will win the first Martinsville race. Also, like in another one of my blogs, I said that he will finish second behind Jeff Gordon his teammate in the Daytona 500. That is how I'm predicting Jimmie's season will lay out.

Budweiser Shootout Prediction

Here is my Budweiser Shootout prediction for the top five.

1.Carl Edwards
2.Jimmie Johnson
3.Kyle Bush
4.Matt Kenseth
5.Jeff Burton

If you don't like these predictions, you can make a comment with your own predictions. I would love to see your predictions.

Nascar 2009 champion prediction

This is my 2009 champion prediction. I know some of you might think Jimmie Johnson will get his fourth championship in a row,but here are a few drivers you should look out for, Greg Biffle, Clint Bowyer and Mark Martin. You might think I'm crazy, but Mark martin is moving to Hendrick and Greg Biffle finished third in the standings last year and Clint Bowyer fifth. Your champion for 2009 is Greg Biffle.

Iowa Speedway to hold truck race for 2009

First of all, let me say this. This blog is not just about the Sprint Cup Series, it's about all series, but any way, Iowa Speedway will be hosting a truck race this year in place of the Mansfield race. Also Iowa Speedway will be hosting a Nationwide race in 2009. Mansfield has been in the Truck Series ever since 2004. Anyway there's nothing else to blog about.
