The Budweiser Shootout for 2009
The Daytona 500 is only 54 days away and it is not the first race to happen. The first race is the Budweiser Shootout and since there is a new rule to make it in, four drivers that would be in it are now out. This new rule is the top six cars from each manufacturer earns a berth for the Budweiser Shootout. The old rule is if you have won it or you got a pole in the previous year, you get a berth. Since this rule has changed, the four drivers that would be in it and know out are Ryan Newman, Patrick Carpentier, Paul Menard, and Joe Nemechek.

New Manufacterer...Again
Robby Gordon for the fourth time in four years is switching to a new manufacturer. This time he is going to Toyota after one year with Dodge. He decided from last year he wanted to go to Toyota. In the order with manufacture he was with Chevrolet then Ford for 2007 Then Dodge for 2008 and now Toyota until who knows when. On my prediction, Robby Gordon is going to stay with Toyota for 2 years and then switch to a different manufacture. Will Robby Gordon do any good with Toyota, we'll just have to see.

Stewert HAAS Team
Tony Stewart announced in August that he will part ways with Joe Gibbs and start his own team Stewart HASS with Ryan Newman starting next year. Tony Stewart has one task to do before focusing on racing, he has to get himself and Ryan Newman in the top 35 during the first five races so they can be able to race in Martinsville and not have to quilify on time like on the first five races. If you're wondering why they have to quilify on time it's because they are taking owner points from #66 scott Riggs and #70 which has been drove by a couple different drivers. Since they took owner points from those cars they will have to quilify on time for at least the first five races. I don't think it was the best idea ever so if I had to guess they're going to have some difficulty with getting into the top 35 in owner points up until the first Richmond race, however the real question is when and where will Stewart HAAS racing do good and be good.
